Londýn – Maximálně do čtyř let Spojené státy přepustí Číně pozici největší ekonomiky světa. Vyplývá to z nejnovější prognózy Organizace pro hospodářskou spolupráci a rozvoj (OECD). Už v letošním roce by dokonce Čína měla v ekonomické produktivitě předběhnout eurozónu. Asijské velmoci ve vzestupu pomáhají účinky krize v západních zemích i předpoklad, že hlavním budoucím motorem růstu má být vzdělání – tedy oblast, do které Čína mohutně investuje.
Čína ale není jediným asijským gigantem, kterému se v globálním srovnání daří. Mohutný vzestup žene kupředu i Indii – další stát, který by za několik let mohl předběhnout Čínu v počtu obyvatel. Indické investice do IT, lékařství a technických oborů mohou zemi už během dvou let dostat před Japonsko. Čína a Indie by pak měly do roku 2030 vytvářet větší hrubý domácí produkt než USA, eurozóna a Japonsko dohromady.
Podíl Číny a Indie na světové ekonomice by se měl do roku 2060 téměř zdvojnásobit na 46 procent z loňských 24 procent. Podíl samotné eurozóny by se měl snížit na pouhých devět ze sedmnácti procent. "Ekonomická krize, se kterou již pět let žijeme, časem skončí. Svět, ve kterém budou žít naše děti a vnoučata, se ale bude od dnešního světa zásadně lišit," uvedl generální tajemník OECD Angel Gurría. "Budeme čelit novým výzvám k zajištění prosperujícího a udržitelného světa pro všechny," dodal.
Hlavním motorem budoucího hospodářského růstu budou podle šéfa OECD vzdělání a produktivita. Tyto dva faktory by se proto měly v celém světě stát politickou prioritou.
